Brian is a retired physician who learned to fly in 1973 in WV from a former Air force Officer and later got his advanced training in the Chapel Hill Flying Club (CHFC). While still working at the UNC Medical School he taught at the CHFC including a stint as The Chief Flight Instructor. After that he owned a Mooney for 10 years and his personal flying has included trips from Chapel Hill to Key West, New Mexico, Newfoundland and Alaska. He has over 4400 hours and more than 2400 as an instructor. He especially enjoys teaching IFR and has guided 13 students to that rating. He loves sharing tips from his experience with his students and feels every IFR student should receive some training in actual IMC. |
