Jordan York: Certified Flight Instructor
Licenses/Ratings: Commercial ASEL, Instrument, CFI
Jordan is originally from NW, Ohio where she earned her private license before moving to Raleigh to continue training with FlightGest. Before she switched gears to train for a career as a pilot, Jordan graduated from Ohio State University with the intention of working in an office for a company like NetJets or WheelsUp. Throughout college, she worked as a Dock Master on Lake Erie where she met a few airline pilots who persuaded her to start flight training. She picked FlightGest for the diverse training conditions with nearby mountainous and coastal regions as well as flying through all four seasons.
Jordan completed her Instrument, Commercial and CFI training with FlightGest while redesigning our website and managing our social media. She has a passion for transporting dogs as a volunteer pilot with Pilots-N-Paws and had the opportunity to assist Operation Airdrop deliver hurricane relief supplies to coastal cities affected by Hurricane Florence. Her favorite trip to date was flying a Bonanza 500' above the Florida coastline on her way back to Raleigh from Key Largo.
Jordan is an active member of the Kitty Hawk Chapter of the 99s and Women in Aviation. Both organizations have brought her a tremendous amount of resources that she hopes to use to the benefit of her students!
