Spencer Brashears: Certified Flight Instructor
Licenses/Ratings: Commercial ASEL/AMEL & CFI
Originally from Seattle, WA, it has always been Spencer’s dream to become a pilot. Within his family, he is famous for his first word for being “Bird!”. At a young age, Spencer was an avid AvGeek and would read books on flying and could identify nearly every type of aircraft in the sky flying overhead. Spencer is also an experienced world traveler. Having been to 40 States, both Canada & Mexico numerous times, Spencer extended his travels to the Caribbean, Europe, and Africa as well. Never forgetting where he comes from, Spencer enjoys giving back to community. He loves to attend career days and sit on Q&A panels to talk to young people about a career in Aviation. Most notably, he is heavily involved with the Black Pilots of America, and his hometown chapter the Red-Tailed Hawks. Spencer makes the journey from wherever he may be in the world, back home to Seattle to teach and inspire future generations. Wanting to pursue his Instructor rating, Spencer came to FlightGest after receiving his Bachelors degree in Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Univeristy in Daytona Beach, FL. He is tremendously excited to share his passion for flying and experiences with his students.
